There are certain circumstances under which the PennDOT Medical Unit may recall ones driving privileges. This may require drivers to apply for a Dual Control Learners Permit. The affected driver will only be permitted to operate a vehicle that is specially equipped. The applicant must prove that they are enrolled and remains enrolled with an approved driver training program under the supervision of an instructor of an approved driver training program until the process is complete, and full driving privileges are restored. In most cases applicants must successfully complete all three of the following requirements.
- Eye test
- Knowledge test
- Skills test

Driving Evaluations are used for many different reasons. Employers or parents hiring an au pair or nanny. A driver that hasn’t driven in a while can ask to have them done to see where they stand and if they need improvement.
